Grooming Services

We understand that grooming can be overwhelming for some pets, and we’re deeply committed to helping them feel safe and supported. Our team is made up of Low-Stress Handling® and Fear Free® Certified professionals, and we prioritise preventing and easing fear, stress, and anxiety through an evidence-based approach.
We take the time to understand each dog’s comfort level and tailor our grooming process to suit their individual needs, gently encouraging positive associations over time. We encourage guardians to do so too.
For pets with behavioural challenges, we follow their pace rather than pushing them through a full groom. We do not use aversive methods — ever.
Thoughtful adjustments are made to our environment too:
- We maintain a cage-free setting where each family of pets is kept separate from others
- Appointments are intentionally spaced out to minimise noise and overstimulation
The number of appointments we take each day is capped to ensure a calmer, more peaceful atmosphere for dogs and their people.

That’s completely okay — many dogs feel unsure during their first few grooming experiences, and we’re here to support both of you through it.
We take the time to understand your dog’s comfort level and adjust our pace and approach accordingly. For first-timers, we may suggest starting with a short and simple session like our Groom n Go service (nail clipping, ear cleaning, sanitary and underpaw shave) to help them gently ease into the environment, sounds, and handling.
You’re also welcome to bring along any familiar items (like a favourite treat, toy, or towel) that might help your dog feel more secure.
If you're unsure what service would be most suitable to start with, feel free to reach out — we're happy to guide you through the options based on your dog’s temperament and needs.

Yes — you’re very welcome (and encouraged) to observe the grooming process from our designated holding areas. We believe in transparency, and want you to feel confident about what’s going on.
If your dog finds comfort in your presence, you’re more than welcome to be in the grooming room with us — just don’t mind the flying fur! We only ask for your help in keeping things calm and quiet to minimise stress for your dog and others in the space.

We truly understand how challenging this can be, and we do our very best to support every dog that comes through our doors. Many dogs with behavioural challenges have been successfully groomed at our salon using a combination of Fear-Free and Low-Stress Handling® techniques.
Every dog is different, so we encourage you to reach out and share your concerns with us. This helps us better understand your dog’s needs and assess how we can proceed safely and compassionately.
For grooming to be possible, we do ask that you're able to safely pick up your dog and, if needed, help apply a Elizabethan collar in higher-stress situations.
If your dog experiences significant fear or stress around grooming (typically FAS level 4 or above), we may recommend working with your vet to explore Pre-Visit Pharmaceuticals (PVPs) to support their comfort and safety. You’re welcome to bring along your dog’s favourite treats or familiar items from home that help them feel secure.
Depending on your dog’s needs, there may be an additional handling fee from $20 if extra time or resources are required to complete the grooming session safely.

Absolutely. We've had the honour of caring for many senior and special needs pets over the years. We adjust our approach based on each dog’s comfort — this can include grooming on a soft or non-slip mat, working at a lower height, or even grooming on the ground if needed.
If your dog has mobility issues or requires extra care, just let us know when booking. We’ll make sure to plan additional time and tailor the environment to support their wellbeing.
